Family Time had a great time fishing the Sneads Ferry KMT . We had no problem getting a fresh load of bait first thing in the morning and was off to our spot. After a couple of hours we had a nice Mahi Mahi come tight on a menhaden on one of our Mr Tigger tackle hand tied King Mackerel rigs. Before we could get it to the boat we had two more on. We got the big one in the boat and was able to land one more. We fished our spot for a little while longer before we decided to make a move and ended our day at the 1700 Rock. Tim Holder on the Sea Grass team had a king wrap around our down rigger line and we were able to help him save that fish. We made the run to Sneads Ferry to weigh the Mahi Mahi and we were lucky enough to win 1st place in the Mahi Mahi TWT. I'd like to give a shoutout to Mr Tigger Tacklefor providing us with all our live bait rigs. They are top notch! Now it is time to run some charters until the The Bone Suckin Sauce King of the Cape Open King Mackerel TournamentTournament. We have some days available in August and September give us a call.

We had my friend Ed and his wife Jami out for a 3/4 day offshore trip on Saturday. We started at the 90' drop at a nice grass line and worked our way offshore. Half way between there and the Big Rock starboard long rigger goes into meltdown. Jami done a great job whipping our largest wahoo of the day, which was 60 plus pounds. We trolled around the big rock and picked up a nice blackfin tuna on the planer rod. While working lines and setting the planer back we had a Yozuri Bonito dragging top water 3' behind the motors and had another wahoo attack it. Jami again was our wahoo angler. We also caught a barracuda on the planer rod right before leaving. It was a great trip with a wonderful couple. They took home plenty fresh wahoo and blackfin tuna to enjoy for dinner.
Gulf stream fishing is starting to heat up with the Wahoo. Give us a call to get you some. Captain Justin Hill (336) 345-7369 We run two half day live bait trips on Friday. We caught lots of fish on both trips with happy people taking home some great eating fish. The live bait fishing is starting to heat. We have had some really nice trips using live bait.
