We had my friend Ed and his wife Jami out for a 3/4 day offshore trip on Saturday. We started at the 90' drop at a nice grass line and worked our way offshore. Half way between there and the Big Rock starboard long rigger goes into meltdown. Jami done a great job whipping our largest wahoo of the day, which was 60 plus pounds. We trolled around the big rock and picked up a nice blackfin tuna on the planer rod. While working lines and setting the planer back we had a Yozuri Bonito dragging top water 3' behind the motors and had another wahoo attack it. Jami again was our wahoo angler. We also caught a barracuda on the planer rod right before leaving. It was a great trip with a wonderful couple. They took home plenty fresh wahoo and blackfin tuna to enjoy for dinner.
Gulf stream fishing is starting to heat up with the Wahoo. Give us a call to get you some. Captain Justin Hill (336) 345-7369
