Had a full day trip booked from Chasing Tails Outdoors in Atlantic Beach yesterday. The family really wanted to catch a Mahi Mahi. It was there youngest son birthday trip. We put them on the fish and stayed on them all day long starting with King Mackerel on lite tackle spinning reels which is a blast. Once they caught there feel of Kings we rode offshore to catch some Mahi Mahi and bottom fish for the to take home. Had a great time catching all day long and they took home 110 pounds of fish for the dinner table including those Mahi Mahi that they wanted.

Couple photos from our 3/4 day trip on 06/29 we caught a little of everything.    We are having a blast with the Spanish Mackerel, False Albacore, and Bullet Mackerel. We are catching these on our half day trips. Give us a call now to book yours. These are great intro trips especially for kids.  We had an absolute awesome trip this afternoon with a half day trip fishing for Spanish Mackerel. This brother and sister team wore them out. With the help of dad and grandpa.  We had a half day trip on Thursday with some submarines and there kids. Catching some nice bottom fish.  We had a 3/4 day trip today with a crew from Chicago. They had made a request for Mahi Mahi and we were able they make that happen with lots of large false albacore mixed in. Was also able that gather a nice catch of trigger fish and pinkys for the dinner table.  Great day on the water we had a fun couple celebrating there 20th wedding anniversary with us. No better way to do that then go do something that you both love doing.  Been busy catching and hadn't updated in a while the Mahi Mahi are still hot and we have been really catching a lot of them. The 3/4 day and Gulf Stream trips have been the way to go. Also catching a lot of bottom fish on these trips. We still have some prime dates available give me a call or shoot me a message to get your day booked.  We had an absolute awesome time fishing the 2017 North Carolina Offshore Challenge. We had a make up group of guys that included Brian Teague, Bill Curry, Robert Courie, and myself the one and only Captain Justin Hill. We left the dock and started a long trip in nice seas going deep and North looking for a big bull Mahi Mahi for this tournament. We were blessed early in the day with a very nice big cow that was in the mid 20's. We picked at them the rest of the day. We had multiple times where we had 4 fish hooked at one time and landed all of them. Our big bull hit late in the day. We knew that he was a very nice fish but just didn't know what he was going to weigh nor what all had been caught today. When we got him back to the scales at Morehead City we were very excited to see that he weighed in at 31.48 pounds! That placed us in 3rd place for the tournament! I am very proud of my crew. We fished against boats from Oregon Inlet all the way down south of Morehead City.    |
