Gulf Stream trips continue to produce lots of mahi mahi with some yellowfin tuna, blackfin tuna, and wahoo.
The Gulf Stream Mahi Mahi Gaffer bite continues to be hot. We are catching lots of good size Mahi Mahi on our Gulf Stream trips with the majority of the bio mass arriving. We have also caught alot of Amberjacks, if you are looking for something to really give you a battle.
It's finally here! May 1st was the official start date of Grouper Season. These are one of our favorite fish to catch and eat. Also as many of you that have fished with us in the past you will remember my saying, "TURN THE HANDLE!"
We are excited to announce that we have added a new vessel to the Family Time fleet. She is a Triton 351 CC, powered with triple 250 horse power Mercury Verados, for a total of 750 HP. She will get us to the fishing grounds fast and safe! Her 35' length and 10' beam will make it a very stable boat for bottom fishing and trolling. We have her equipped with dual Icom VHF Radios, Garmin & Raymarine Electronics, and Fushion Sterio with JL Audio speakers for hearing all the latest tunes. We use Raymarine Multifunction displays for navigation and fish finding and Raymarine Radar for those early departures and late returns. We have also added Garmin Navigation on board with Garmin Auto Pilot. The boat is laid out perfect for our fishing style, also providing ample storage and seating for our guest and their items. We are very excited to be able to fish this vessel and share it with our guest!
Deep dropping for some of our favorite fish to eat. Snowy Grouper and stopping on the way back in for some tasty Trigger fish.
The Black Sea Bass bite has been very strong with lots of larger bass also know as knot heads. We have been running commercial trips for them with large numbers. These fish are delicious fish to eat.
Time for a fishing report after a beautiful fall Saturday. Inshore the Grey Trout are still stacked up in the turning basin with speckled trout coming from the main bodies of water. Near shore the Spanish Mackerel and Blues are still thick on the beach there have been some great catches of blue fish. King Mackerel remain to be our primary target right now on the half day trips. Give us a call to book your trip now.
Post DorianPost Dorian report. We weathered the storm fine and had no damages. Now as things are settled out it is time to get on some bottom fish and fill the freezer with grouper, trigger and b liners. Give us a call.
Morning half day trip before the wind started for the weekend. Mahi Mahi, King Mackerel and Grouper don't get any better than that on a half day.
